Brief Description:  Trim tab complete

After getting the new spar (E-607PP), hinge and the E-717, E-718, I drilled, deburred, dimpled, scothbrighted, cleaned and primed the parts.

I bent the tabs on the second skin I had, clecoed everytihg in place and then set the hinge. I deviated form the plans this time. I didn't countersink the E-607...I dimpled it. I then measuered the hinge very carefully, set the the first hole and then dimpled it and continued on. The hinge set in perfectly.

I did the same with the opposing hinge on the elevator proper. The trim tab moves freely up and down without any rubbing, compared to my first hinge. Quite happy with the results.

The tabs are pop rivets in place and all I need to do now is wait for the inspection so I can close it up.
